Description
The Mini Cooper S MkII was launched in 1967 as a successor to the original Mini Cooper S. It featured a number of improvements over the previous model, including a redesigned grille, a larger rear window, and a more powerful engine.
It was powered by a 1275cc A-series engine that produced 76 horsepower. This gave the car a top speed of 95 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 12 seconds. The engine was mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and the car was equipped with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes.
It was a popular choice for both road and rally racing. It won the Monte Carlo Rally four times in a row from 1964 to 1967, and it also achieved success in other rallies such as the Tour de Corse and the Acropolis Rally.
The MkII Cooper S was produced until 1970, and a total of 6,300 cars were built. It is now considered to be one of the most iconic and collectible Mini models ever produced.
